Speaker 0 00:00:00 Had a second meeting on July 23rd, 2019. We adopted pass and after passing to be published together with a notice of the date of approval on the initial, we brother resolved that this ordinance shall be assigned number 19 dash one nine. Speaker 1 00:00:15 Motion. Speaker 0 00:00:16 Oh wait, I'm sorry. I had, I had a question. You went really fast. I'm Staci 2 33 Ellis Parkway. I, could you just explain that ordinance, like is there a fee, is there a fee increase for sewer connections? It's just, Speaker 1 00:00:34 Yes, there's, Speaker 0 00:00:37 Okay. Can you tell us what the fee connection increase is gonna be or how this is gonna impact current future turbine home waters? Speaker 1 00:00:47 Anybody that already has existing sewers aren't, you know, this is just for new, new sewer connections. Speaker 0 00:00:51 Okay. And what's the cost? I mean, I'm just trying to understand what the resolution is. You coming very quickly and so, I'm sorry, wasn't here on June 6th. Did hear about it myself. Can somebody just explain it in lay person terms? Six. Oh, Speaker 1 00:01:06 I think it's gonna raise $6,000 for the connection Speaker 0 00:01:10 Or a new sewer line for someone who's building a home or renovating Speaker 1 00:01:14 Anybody that's connecting to a sewer line. So preexisting, anybody that's already connected to the sewers would not face this fee. Speaker 0 00:01:23 Okay. So what's the, why would the fee have to go up? What's the existing sewer connection Speaker 1 00:01:34 Going up? Because it costs a costs from disposal of consumer rate. Speaker 0 00:01:43 So if somebody needed, if there was construction done in a neighborhood and the town determine that someone needed to reconnect, like to change their connection, I'm just trying to understand Speaker 1 00:01:54 For a new connection. So what happens is that as new houses connect causes higher flow in, in the actual existing system, which then causes the Township to do capital improvements, these funds will actually go into the capital sewer capital improvements funds for future capital improvements on the, on the actual sewer system. But for instance, we award a contract last month to National Water Main, who was doing a lot. They're doing a lot of slip line in the road area. Other areas we have spot spot lease leak the system because we don't like plain paying for clear water like sewage. Speaker 0 00:02:37 I'm sorry, I, we don't, we don't like paying for clear water. Speaker 1 00:02:40 Clear water means that there is a leak within the system that we have to patch up. It's going down to down to, if you're gonna pay for flow, you want to make sure it's actually suit you. Speaker 0 00:02:55 Okay, great. Thank you. Speaker 1 00:02:59 Motion? Motion I second. Second. Water. Councilman Bullard? Speaker 0 00:03:05 Yes. Councilman? Yes. Councilman mcc? Speaker 1 00:03:08 Yes. Speaker 0 00:03:09 Councilman? Yes. Councilwoman McCan? Yes. Council President. Speaker 1 00:03:13 All right. Yes. On second reading, acquisition of the rights of entry, temporary and permanent easements and if necessary, land and free simple for the improvement of avenue. This also open Speaker 0 00:03:28 It resolved by the Township counsel, the Scattered Township New Jersey that an ordinance entitled Ordinance for the Acquisition of Rights of Entry, temporary permanent easements and if necessary, land and fee simple for the improvement of the other avenue in Piscataway. Township County of Middlesex state of Jersey was introduced on the 13th day of June, 2019 and passed the first reading and was published on the 18th day of June, 2019. Now therefore be a resolve, but after ordinance, having had a second reading on July 23rd, 2019, the adopted past and occupants to be published together with the notice of the date of pastor, the woman official newspaper, further result that this ordinance shall be assigned number 19 dash 20. I'm gonna have the same question. I just, I I'm trying to, so what exactly is going on in Meadow Wood that you need to ordinance for? Speaker 1 00:04:22 If I may, council president. This is for the reconstruction and what Speaker 0 00:04:28 Both have been very anxious to get done. Can you describe the reconstruction? Speaker 1 00:04:34 Putting curves where there is no curves in certain sections of the road. We're fixing the drainage. This is a full blown reconstruction and distribute Speaker 0 00:04:44 You putting any sidewalks and places on your arm. There Speaker 1 00:04:47 Will be sidewalks in certain areas on it in the handicap. Speaker 0 00:04:52 And what's the timeframe Speaker 1 00:04:55 You get this wrapped up by the end of the year? We'd probably have it out to bid early next year. Speaker 0 00:05:00 So early at bid, early next year. And then the work would get done at point next year? Speaker 1 00:05:07 Yeah, it all depends on the easements, but sometimes that legal process as a Mayor know, takes a little while depending on the, on the property owners agreeing to allowing us to purchase them without having to go to a legal process. Speaker 0 00:05:22 Okay. So is there a possibility maybe a neighborhood meeting or some before you start that so that people know what's coming If Speaker 1 00:05:31 By May there is no need for a neighborhood meeting between the homeowner and the Township? This is for, in a lot of cases council, but this is for a temporary construction easement. We're not actually acquiring anything. Oh, Speaker 0 00:05:41 I'm not asking for a neighborhood meeting about the specific easement. I'm just saying folks in that neighborhood have been, I'm sure would be very excited to know about this. And at least from my competition with many of those people would really want their stream repair. Some of them haven't. I Speaker 1 00:05:55 Got news council president, 90% of the people already know about it. Speaker 0 00:05:59 Okay. So then there would be no reason to not have an area of meeting to just let other folks who may use that area know about it. I'm just suggesting one way to communicate better about the instruction since that's be an issue Speaker 1 00:06:11 Letter. Speaker 0 00:06:12 Right. I'm saying beyond just a letter, counsel would maybe, you know, some opportunity to ask questions and talk about it. About what impact. Okay. You don't have to, I'm just making a suggestion. Speaker 1 00:06:25 Okay. Speaker 0 00:06:26 Question You Speaker 1 00:06:28 Second. Speaker 0 00:06:28 Second Council? Yes. Yes. Yes. Councilman? Yes. Councilman? Yes. Council P Woman McCollum. Yes. So we get the number that we're referring to have and get this keep our training. Speaker 3 00:11:32 That's a grant from the DOT? Speaker 1 00:11:34 No, for the state Police Department. Justice. Speaker 3 00:11:39 Okay. Item number Hotel. Hotel hh. The $70,000, is that for equipment for here? All over. Meaning Public works. Just the $70,000. Speaker 1 00:12:01 Yeah, that's for our Township Light phone system. Speaker 3 00:12:06 I'm sorry, Speaker 1 00:12:06 Our Township light phone system. It's for maintenance upgrade service contract for our council, including the libraries, public work, police department, this building. And then for our, Speaker 3 00:12:23 I remember something like that before. Was it every two years or before the contract renewal or, Speaker 1 00:12:32 I believe the last one was for two years. What this work, Speaker 3 00:12:36 Is that what this one's for? Speaker 1 00:12:38 I'll check. I'll look through this while we're here. I'll, if you end of the meeting. Speaker 3 00:13:10 Okay. Just briefly. I have number the parking lot improvement, which is I I what what kind of improvements are we? Some of the parking lot driving by name for the main building. Public safety and engineering and public works. Thank you. Speaker 0 00:13:57 Elli Parkway. I wanna thank that Counsel, the one for acknowledging the seniors. I've got one coming up next year. It's, it's gonna be, it's gonna be easier. So for the folks who are heading to college or trade school or wherever they're going military wish them the very best. It a really nice, I just have a couple of questions. Hopeful, well, couple questions, couple suggestions. Park Avenue, the repairs there. I know there was some, there was a letter from Raj and there was some social media posting about the company sort of disappearing and not being in account, not being able to get in touch with them. What's the status of the construction Speaker 3 00:14:39 Of work work? We'll get through them on one from another contractor. Speaker 1 00:14:44 Yeah. We're working with a bonding company that ensures the contract and, and we, I think we've got a quote, I think they came out to inspect today, park Avenue. And as long as we're the bond company gives us approval, which they seem, you know, they seem to be on the same page as us. We'll have the, the rest of the work finished on park and then we're working on the rest of the contract. Speaker 0 00:15:09 And what's the estimated time for what to be finished on park? It's, it's a little Speaker 1 00:15:14 Dangerous. The, the proposal hasn't come in for the second contractor should hopefully be in by tomorrow. So then we'll have an idea when they say they can get it done. Speaker 0 00:15:21 Okay, thanks. And we'll is there a way to just let folks know once he accepted that bid or you know, whatever, Speaker 1 00:15:28 Whatever we have to work with the bonding company. But again, of course we be, I'm sure the, the mayor's office will be reaching out to the community because they been already contacting the mayor's office regularly and they've spoken with them so there's communication so I'm sure they'll be relay Speaker 0 00:15:44 That. Right. It's not just folks who live on that street, although I'm sure they're most impacted, but a lot of us that live in that neighborhood. Take part to get into, into that. Couple of quick questions. What's the best way for people who have suggestions about the neighborhood safety issues and traffic to not necessarily come here, but I'm happy to do that. But is the public safety committee and infrastructure committee is that, I know there is one of the council that have regular meetings. Speaker 0 00:16:18 Well yeah, it's not, so there are a couple of things that come up from, you know, we are out talking to folks all the time in the neighborhood and a couple of suggestions have come up and so I wanted to raise them in, you know, the way that it's not, doesn't involve not police activity. I don't think first is there's still is a, there's a lot of speeding in the heights. I'm sure those of us who live there are very familiar with it and folks who represent that area. One of our neighbors suggested maybe making some of the stop signs stop four-way intersections had four-way stop signs, especially in the areas by the schools so that folks were walking to, you know, walking their kids to, to schools have traffic would have to slow down. So those of the kind, like those kinds of suggestions don't seem like they really require a call to the police department. Speaker 0 00:17:03 Like that seems excessive. I do wanna just give a shout out of the police department and EMTs who to make a stop by our house on Sunday. And so thank you for the first responders who did that. That that to me is like what we call the police for. I wouldn't want call them about like a state suggestion. Is there a way for the council to convene those kinds of regular meetings so people who have suggestions or ideas for who, if the meeting that Councilwoman Lombardi and Council had about what to do with the help of the farm, like lots of people came out and had great ideas and had a, you know, good conversation. So those are the, like the commitment, if I may make that, you know, the council does have that structure and they have a, have a committee meeting. Doesn't have to be all the time, but maybe you could do that sort of on a regular basis, give you ideas. Speaker 1 00:17:51 So for, in regard to speeding and other items, the best, the best department is the police department. You don't have to call 9 1 1. They have a local number. There's a traffic division that loves to hear from community members in regard to any issues that they have so they can make sure that they resolve the issues that they're well experienced in figuring out how to alleviate any speeding issues, et cetera, and have that experience. So they're the best people to, to handle it and they're the really the, the people that need to be informed in order to, to resolve any of those issues. Speaker 0 00:18:22 Sure. I just, there are other, you know, there's, I'm just an opportunity for people to give feedback and input and maybe we don't have every idea solved, but for sure there are folks who would like to either have speed bumps and or have more stop signs, at least where I live because that there's a lot of people lying down. Speaker 1 00:18:40 Yeah. So contact you and it's not lieutenant er anyway, sorry Captain Goomer. But, and, and that traffic department will definitely be willing to, to take those suggestions and, and look into it. Speaker 0 00:18:53 And I would even suggest like you're coming here this evening quite often here, I don't want to mention any names, but we're looking at Mr. Gross, Mr. Akens. There are people who live in the community and sometimes the, the residents themselves don't come in but they sometimes are spoke topeople for their their, and they come in make suggestions as well. Right. I'm just suggesting that if there's a committee structure, maybe you want to utilize that. The other suggestion that that came up with potentially putting out signs that some of the park benches that indicate that those are places where people who are sitting there might wanna have a conversation. So like there's some like benches at those schools. There's in Franklin they have happy to chat benches, like little signs to say if you sit here, like you might wanna have a conversation with somebody encourager and you wish to talk to each other. Speaker 0 00:19:35 I do that all the time. I'm sure you do. I'm sure that you do. And so do I Councilwoman. But there are other people who maybe don't feel, you know, well you might not but other people might. So that was sort of one suggestion that came up in conversation and we throw it up on some social media sites and there some really positive feedback from folks around town that they might, you know, not every bench and not every part, but especially if you're gonna be doing something platform platforms that there would be, you know, an opportunity. But because I know it's gonna be a passive recreational area, but that may be a place to include that. So, you know, those are the kinds of ideas that people are talking about. Might want have an opportunity to have a conversation. I'm not sure where that would go, but I can call the traffic department seems sort of like, you know, more of a, of a elective leader kind of conversation than a traffic study. And we have so idea advisory commissions too. And I'm trying to think based on the request too. It might go best to, but I think bringing it up here is obviously the first step. And then did the advisory commission ever like give reports at the council meetings? I've been coming here now for a while and not heard any, I've not heard anybody give like a committee report or council commission. I don't think that they're required to make it to us. Maybe they're not required but encouraged. Speaker 0 00:20:56 People have really great ideas in our community. We're just trying to figure out what the best, you know, most effective way to get them engaged in. So I would say any idea, I mean I, I can tell you I'm a person who's in my community. A lot of people come to me all the time with ideas. Some people don't necessarily feel comfortable coming to a council meeting. They don't feel comfortable in a a public forum. They, you know, they have people in their neighborhoods that they kind of seek out. And so this is appropriate. So the suggestions you hear, you want adopt all of them. Speaker 3 00:21:28 We always Speaker 0 00:21:29 Want suggestions. Right. I'm wondering what the process is for seeing those things through besides just Speaker 3 00:21:34 I three Speaker 0 00:21:35 Minutes. Okay. Mr. I'll Speaker 3 00:21:51 17. I think I asked Mr. Timothy, I don't think I did. I did. I asked for the figures for the park. But maybe I get what I need is the figures for the park one on Mountain Avenue, the park that was down on Al Street and I need behavior. I talked to a gentleman by the name I think was John. I was, I felt like the part that short came. So I asked him those parts, the canopy and everything that's called. I asked him why was this couldn't a good answer. I'll ask you why was Kinneally not replaced? Why was the backboard not replaced in the room Speaker 1 00:22:53 Parts? Speaker 3 00:22:53 Excuse me. Both them other parts all not. Yep. Speaker 1 00:22:58 I know that John you went all that. I asked John to get ahold of you and John after you trying to set a meeting up with you and him and guy at the park yesterday but you couldn't respond to the call. So John was here and we asked him to stay. Yeah. So we invite you to go back and then talk to John because all the answers that you're looking for, I don't think Speaker 3 00:23:20 John has the you John has the parks. That's Speaker 1 00:23:25 The issues of the canopy and the colors and whatever Speaker 3 00:23:28 Will put in each Speaker 1 00:23:29 Park that that we can, that we can get here. But John, John is in charge of our recreation department. Okay. So we're trying to get you and him and guy together at your convenience to try to solve some of what you believe are the deficiencies. So you see John that gets up the meeting for later this week, early next week. You and Guy and John there because according to Johnson he thinks that some issues to be taken care of ladies, why they weren't replaced is that they were excellent shape. So it's about coordinating a photo to look at that. But we don't want to spend money replacing equipment that's relatively new even though you're putting newer equipment in the other parts. Because of our program, we'll always be replacing parking equipment. Parking equipment last certain period of time and then you need to replace it because the changing of code requirements that Speaker 3 00:24:22 Just standing here telling me the canopy and Haywood didn't need to replaced. Yes. Speaker 1 00:24:28 In the opinion of our landscape marketing and our director recreation. Yes. And Speaker 3 00:24:33 The ones that Albert Street didn't need Speaker 1 00:24:36 According to our landscape marketing and our recreation director. Yes. Speaker 3 00:24:40 Okay. We just recently got the motion at a year and a half. I'm here to tell you it's not enough. Okay. So for me to come back, I don't know if we get choice how what, it's not enough. It's like this, we still having a problem with grass cutting where we did take the issue of either replacing or getting it done right. Speaker 1 00:25:14 We're more than halfway through to grass cutting season. We're staying off in the best that we can. We can't cancel a contract now because on the bidding laws, the timing it would take to to rebid it, we'll be worried about shoveling sub. So this is who we have, we're working with them If there are any concerns, I think guy told you just give them a call. Speaker 3 00:25:36 Yeah but the concern is if we're paying this guy to cut it, he's not cutting it then what? Speaker 1 00:25:40 He doesn't get paid when he doesn't cut. Speaker 3 00:25:43 If I don't call a guy tell him he's gonna cut it. Right. Is it the way he's cutting it or he not cutting it? No he's not cutting it. No. Like I discussed this with a guy, if the guy supposed to test take five cuts a month, if he's cutting three, he really no lie. And half the time when he cut it, I'm there. I seen him or even my neighbor tells him, cut what happened to other side? I caught him last matter fact last week I had you going to cut this over here. Well my boss did that. I said no your boss. I had the conversation with your boss. Speaker 1 00:26:26 We've also had a very heavy rain season so far as of yesterday. Not the rain. We got website, the New York metropolitan area 16 inches above and more for the past 52 weeks. Speaker 3 00:26:40 And that had the fight. Speaker 1 00:26:41 16 Speaker 3 00:26:42 Is a lot and that has to do with what would the grass cutting if you touch one side, the bedroom? Speaker 1 00:26:47 No the grass grows higher. Quicker it can't be covered. So the guy talked to you. Any questions? We just, Speaker 3 00:27:00 The issue of the mosquitoes, whose job is it to call the mosquito to take mosquitoes to sit across the street. Whose job Speaker 1 00:27:10 That's done by the Stelton County Mosquito Control Commission. So I have to call with you. Call you. You can call then or if you let us know or if you let Diamond know, if Speaker 3 00:27:19 I let you know, Speaker 1 00:27:20 You can let me know. You can let guy know. You can let the health department know we all interacted. Speaker 3 00:27:24 Does anybody ever check on that? Does someone have to call you and tell you we have a excuse or is so annually you done, Speaker 1 00:27:33 You're gonna have a, if you have a problem, excuse me. If you have a problem let us know Speaker 3 00:27:39 That to spray material. Thank you. I'm sorry. Could hear your question. Oh sorry. Add some materials for the council. Speaker 2 00:28:05 Do you have to state your name and your address? Speaker 3 00:28:08 Junior Romero 100 Bay Exchange. Speaker 3 00:28:21 Good evening council and council President Junior Romero with Food and Water Watch located at 100 Grand Street in Brunswick. We're local environments here and yeah, I wanted to discuss the citizen petition was recently submitted to SCA Lake Township to transition the town towards more renewable energy. Over the course of 2019, over 1,250 of your constituents signing the citizen petition and voice for support for the SCA lake. Tackling climate change head on by changing its renewable, its residential energy mix from climate and and air polluting fossil fuels, clean, green and renewable renewable energy like solar and wind. Once the signatures are certified, this council will have an opportunity to tackle climate change. While our federal government only fuels it. By keeping us reliant on oil, gas and coal councils and Piscataway, Township will have an opportunity to Mayor New Brunswick successful transition to 50% renewable energy in less than one year. Speaker 3 00:29:20 We'll also see savings of over a hundred dollars a year for each household. A hundred percent renewable ommunity energy aggregation really is an incredible way for towns to take action for our environment, our climate, and our community while making sure constituents don't have pension. More penny. Every energy aggregation program we've looked at in New Jersey only saves residents on their utility bills and authors rate stability that PSEG does not. We just recently asked the regulators for a big rate in income passed by this council. In the next few weeks we can start cutting the methane and carbon emissions that are fueling climate change that leads to these heavy rainstorms in 16 inches. New Rain and New York City and other areas. We're about to hit a climate tipping point that we're not gonna be able to get back from every month, every day that we wait. Our more tons of fossil fuel scattering into our environment. Speaker 3 00:30:11 We are council here to adopt this ordinances outright in the next few weeks once it's certified 'cause of climate. Just can't wait. I'm glad to meet with any council members here individually. And is there any question you have about this type of this program before voting for a final adoption? It's not an easy thing to do. New Brunswick took couple months but certainly big names for our environment. Big names for residence. What you have in front of you is what the, the Mayor of New Brunswick sent to residence when they, once they passed the ordinance, the council passed the ordinance. They even did a more aggressive ordinance than even council passed a couple months before this was implemented. So my contact info info is on there. Look forward to coming to the next council meeting and know Thank you. Thank you. Speaker 3 00:31:10 S Madison 1 7 6 Blackford Avenue, Ms. Getaway away. I'm here to ask the council to adopt a resolution supporting moratorium on council field projects in New Jersey. It's a six page document so I'm not gonna read it to you. I'll give a paper copy to the clerk and I'll also send an email copy so it can be distributed to the members of the council, et cetera. I wanna give you a background on why this is so important and, and basically it follows up on what Junior just said. This is about the climate and in last September there, or excuse me, last October there was a report of the climate scientist that said basically we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40 or more percent in the next 12 years in order to be on target to not go over a tipping point on climate. And basically that means that you have to eliminate fossil fuel emissions. Speaker 3 00:32:14 What this moratorium asks to do is to have no more fossil fuel projects implemented in New Jersey. If we're supposed to be doing the opposite, we ought to have a moratorium to stop them doing what we're supposed to be doing. That's what this asks. So I wanna point out that this is one of three level things that the council can do. One of them is what Junior just said, and that's very local. It has to do with things that have an impact directly on residents in Piscataway. This specifically has an impact on New Jersey and it asked you to send a RESO to make a resolution to get the MOR auditorium done, which would be done by the governor in New Jersey. And lastly, it's my impression that a year or two ago you had a climate resolution. To the best of my knowledge, it did not include a fee or tax on carbon. Speaker 3 00:33:21 But the US Conference of Mayors just passed or recommended to Congress that they passed such a a law, some kind of fee or tax on carbon. It's important that you understand that a fee or tax on carbon correctly implemented will be progressive, will be progressive tax, not a regressive tax. Most taxes are regressive. Most fees, almost all fees are regressive. A properly implemented tax on carbon would be a progressive tax and 60%, it's estimated that 60% of the lower income to middle income households would do better off that way. So it's important that you folks understand that. And there are three things that I just talked about. One was what Junior just talked about, which has a local impact, one which has a state impact. And the third one, which has a national impact. That national impact can't be done for a couple of years till we have a different president and different Senate. But it's important that we start working towards that and people understand it. I'd like to understand what the process would be when I hand this over. What, what do I expect in terms of coming back and seeing it implemented or not implemented? Speaker 0 00:34:49 You need to have an opportunity to read through it first. And we discussed, I don't think beyond that there's a A process per se, correct? Or Speaker 1 00:35:02 I think if you send it to you send it to the clerk or to me, which she really wants to counsel and we can all read it and when we meet next month we can discussion about it. Speaker 3 00:35:14 So I would come back to the next council meeting and expect you discuss with Speaker 1 00:35:17 You. Yeah, not, not necessarily. We can call you if you give us your number. Any questions? Can we see you fairly regularly? Speaker 3 00:35:24 Yeah. Okay. I'll give it to the clerk when you heard. Speaker 0 00:35:45 Second. Speaker 1 00:35:48 Second. All in favor? Speaker 2 00:35:50 Aye. Aye. Re any comments or questions? Number eight, ordinance on second reading supplemental chapter 17. Property maintenance adding section 17 dash 2.68. And containers open to the public resolution. Any comments or questions? Speaker 0 00:37:32 So this, I believe this is that there's only one container, you're only allowed one container. So a person could not have two. And sometimes we go, we see people with two containers in, in a on a, they try to get two in a driveway. They one in the driveway and one out in the street or something like that. Speaker 1 00:37:46 Yeah, the biggest, the biggest problem that we're, we're trying to deal with are when a contract with them in a big roll off container puts it in the street and double one house working in one house and blocks of lanes working in another house and one house the other house and container was there for about a month and one being there for three months, four months, five months. So our property maintenance team has investigated a lot of solution things about it and the recommendation be regulated highly and there a short period of time. Try to keep in Speaker 1 00:38:36 Item ninth. First reading, amending chapter 14, section 1.3. Fees and construction permit fees, the resolution about the oil. Any comments or questions? Speaker 0 00:41:07 Well council, I think where the comment that previously there was a proclamation for two young students at the, due on for tonight tv. Unfortunately when I, at the August 17th. So we was already taken off to each agenda, but I just wanted to also mention that Speaker 1 00:41:26 Comment. Thank you. Speaker 0 00:41:29 Well the weather is looking good for our third concert to possibly make it outside this week. We have Valerie Adams and the Dimension Band. They are fantastic. They are fantastic. They're usually our red band but they're in the middle this year. So we look forward to being outside this Thursday. And we also have National Night Out coming up on Tuesday, August 6th. We'll be ending at eight o'clock. Okay. No, Speaker 3 00:42:01 No pain, no comment. Second number 20 for the public please state your name, your address and note You have three minutes and we speed 50 about the, the summer program that you had for park. You do have, Speaker 2 00:42:37 You haven't have that in year? Speaker 0 00:42:39 I, I don't, I don't know kind of looking over at Frank, but I can tell you when I was going San but I don't think we had, Speaker 3 00:42:48 We don't have them yet. Speaker 0 00:42:49 I don't believe we have. I would say most parents I'm working and I'm not sure if they're gonna allow their kids to be outta the park are attending seven. I think times have changed unfortunately with that type of entertainment. During the day Speaker 3 00:43:10 We, we had to go him up to maybe about 10 years ago. Mayor? Correct. Been a lot. Speaker 0 00:43:19 Not coffee and pot holders. We Speaker 3 00:43:21 Were spending a lot of, a lot of money and we were, we were getting any kids. Oh yeah, I grew up in we had program stuff like that. Speaker 0 00:43:35 Changing time. Yeah terminology. Speaker 3 00:43:40 I need to know what and when. Unless this Mayor is going to do something about dreading across the street in that park. I know the city owns or I say have a right of way. Whatever piece you has that needs to be the water. This station was out there this morning when I was out there and he just took a bird eye view where it was flooded and he just happened to be there when I was there. So the water can't flow because this needs to be done. I understand you have a problem or whatever problem. Council part of the problem. Speaker 1 00:44:31 We only own 10 feet from the road lines and the rest of the property is quite all we could do is just de snag out there. But short of that you'd have to go get whatever else. It's not our property. File property. Speaker 0 00:44:51 Is that corporately owned or is that a person? It's corporately owned. Speaker 2 00:44:55 Yes Speaker 3 00:44:57 It is owned by But in the process of moving my question is if we, we have to right way for the 10 it would alleviate some of that. It would. And you know how when Speaker 1 00:45:20 PI don't have the answer to that. I don't have an answer right now. I have to check Speaker 0 00:45:34 Berger Bill 2, 3 3. The Councilman column noted that there are lots of neighborhood leaders and people who come up with ideas. You know, that's part of what I consider our job as a democratic committee person for our area. So, you know, better or worse we're gonna be here with suggestions. Some of which you know, we hope that you'll pick up and I think since question about, you know, what the process is and what a lot of folks come here and they have ideas and suggestions and then kind of wonder what the next step is. So I'm take away from my time count. I have a bunch of things so I pause for a second. So I'm going give you an example. We talked about the I a question on the dumpster myself. As Tim stated, there were some complaints from neighbors. They called the mayor's office and you know, the dumpsters are out there for extended period of time. Speaker 0 00:46:22 They're in the street. So when people, we get these types of complaints, you know, you know, sometimes when we get enough of then we have ordinances that we put into place like this. So we welcome, you know, your suggestions. We, you know, if you, you come every week, that's great but we can't think that everything, we're gonna change everything. Some things take time. So we do appreciate what you're saying. But that's a perfect example of tion. Sure. I I, I think the question is more Sid's point was, you know, if someone comes with a suggested resolution, what's the actual process Before we, I go into a couple more questions. I just did want to thank the council for applying the pride flag that we gave you all and we really appreciate you putting it up in here. We hope that look forward to next year seeing it outside events around that. So we hope that that's something we can all do together to show support solidarity community care. So thanks for doing that last month. Speaker 1 00:47:12 I have a statement if I may, Speaker 0 00:47:15 Jim what? Absolutely counsel if you get the income president or with my case. Okay, I'm just, I have a couple other questions. Absolutely. Your basically you indicated about the crosses and so forth. I personally get Speaker 1 00:47:28 Lots of questions, lots of phone calls regarding speed, regarding trash cans and so forth. And what we do is actually report that information and whether or not at, at the mayor's office. And so therefore they have to reach out to the other directors to say, Hey, we got an issue here, could you please look into that? And I think that's a solid process in attempting to resolve or communicate with our community out there. Speaker 0 00:48:08 Thanks. That's great. I think that that's one certainly one way we can do things and maybe there are other ways that that's, that's working for you. That's great. Counsel, couple other quick questions. One of the issues about the health department, obviously there are mosquitoes. It's the summer. We did have a couple of folks in in our area ask about Brian Park specifically and the level of ticks and whether there's anything being done in the county or the city of municipal board of health specifically address the tick population. I know there are a couple of problems we ran to Target said she was full of tick off her some, it's really bad. I had mine last year so I just didn't know if there's anything that, that we were doing specifically or that the county was doing. Speaker 1 00:48:49 I'll, I'll check with the county that work. Speaker 0 00:48:51 Okay, great. Thanks. And then are there questions that came up to you or what's happening on old folks road with the land that's being leased sold that anybody has any information that's on you? There's the, there's like 45 acres being, has anybody had any council resident is Speaker 1 00:49:15 It's own industrial. It's been zone industrial seven plus years. It used to be steel site. Those of us are old enough to remember the steel manufacturer. Speaker 0 00:49:27 We don't have an update on what the owner of the property's doing yet anyway with it. Right. It just seemed like there, there was enough change in the property that I think is attractive attention for people driving by. So folks called me and I'm like, I don't know, but when I go to the council meeting, I'll ask those folks because maybe they know Ms. Burn. Let me just back back. So a while ago the owner of the property had plans but you know, obviously he guess he couldn't get funding or whatever, but they, you know, that property was cleaned up. He probably was just getting it ready for whoever else might anybody Speaker 1 00:49:58 You see, you see is they're removing contaminated soil. Am I correct Merri? Speaker 0 00:50:02 I think the sign, the signage for the, the for sale portion of it definitely got updated and jazzed up and seems like they're making efforts. So people, people notice they asked me, I don't have any information. I'm trying to, I think the Speaker 1 00:50:13 Activity on the site is that he been required to remove some of the top, well that's contaminated and that's been the activity. Cleaned it Speaker 0 00:50:23 Up. Okay, thanks. And then the other question, you know, we've been coming in and and broadcasting the meetings here for a while and while we're happy to do that and do that as a volunteer, frankly the quality is not great and people would really love to hear more from what you all were saying 'cause they can hear us 'cause we have a microphone in the audience, but they can't really hear you. And so I really would ask you again to consider using the p CTV equipment and the, the resources of the community to make these, these meetings really genuinely public and put them on PCTV and broadcast them yourself so that people can hear from you. 'cause all they can really hear is kind of, you know, the comments from the microphone and you know, while we're happy to do that, it's not, it's not the greatest quality and it's also not really a sort of a lack of use of resources. And obviously we can, you know, broadcast the great work and you know, to build a community center. It would be great to also broadcast the work that you're doing here. So we would really strongly ask and encourage you to consider doing that. I don't know if you need a resolution or if that's something you can, I'll call the mayor's office and make a suggestion, but we think it would be a really good use of our community resources. So thanks. Thank you. Speaker 0 00:51:45 Motion. Motion. Second. Second. All in favor.
