If he's attempt, get in Any council members that wanna make their presence known for the record. Okay. Let's start with unfinished business. Is there any unfinished business from last meeting? Someone unmuted? I'm just giving you a second to talk unfinished business. No. I'm gonna go ahead to approve the meeting minutes from last meeting. I did send the meeting minutes through an email, including the new invitation, the calendar invitation for all the Zoom meetings. Is there a motion to approve the meeting minutes as dispersed? Speaker 0 00:04:57 I'll make a motion. Speaker 1 00:04:58 Phillips is there a second? Second. Mr. Daisy, any discussion on this? Speaker 2 00:05:04 If you would be so kind just to change my name from even to Evan, I would greatly appreciate it. Okay. Speaker 1 00:05:09 With the one spelling error corrected. Much appreciate. Thank you. Yep, absolutely. Okay. All in favor of approving the meeting minutes with the corrections. Aye. And so moved. Any objections? Okay. Any new business? Speaker 2 00:05:33 I just have a 2.2 points. I'm sorry. I don't know if anyone else raised their hand. I can't even find the raise hand button. Speaker 1 00:05:40 Fine. Go ahead Evan. You're fine. Speaker 2 00:05:44 And I guess it would be for Mr. Goer. It was brought to my attention. I don't know if this would fall under OPMA as it is advisory. It was brought to my attention that OPMA might have a requirement that this actually be in person for accessibility as per the statute. I've never read the statute, I'm not familiar with it, but I was advised that if we were found to be in breach of OPMA, then each and every attendee that's part of the, the body would be liable to be fined by the state. So if someone could just look into that, I would greatly appreciate it because I I just don't wanna pay a fine. Speaker 4 00:06:24 Yeah, that's a, that's been discussed many, many times as we came outta covid. Virtual meetings are still authorized, but you know, I think there's ongoing discussions. 'cause the stat, the state isn't clear about them and they haven't given clarification. So all us municipal attorneys have been discussing it so far. The consensus has been that as long as we, we meet all the requirements under oma, that that, you know, remote meetings are acceptable. But yeah, I'll, I'll look in to see if there's any further updates recently. Speaker 2 00:06:57 Okay. And then the, the other just housekeeping item that was brought to my attention was in reading through the ordinance itself, it, it states that in lieu of there being someone who's a available to be appointed by the township or township can appoint someone as an EMS coordinator. There's an interim coordinator and about two years ago, we, we agreed to have an interim EMS coordinator until such time as everything could be achieved for credentialing. I was just curious if we could go ahead and just share the credentials with the group, because if not, I, I believe we have to pick someone else. The way it was written, I'm really not a hundred percent certain on that. I'm sure they've been achieved by this point by detective parent. We just wanna make sure it's been done as a housekeeping item, if that makes sense. Speaker 4 00:08:03 So, Evan, I'll pull up the ordinance. I'll, I'll speak with Dr. Detective per and make sure that those certifications are, are completed if that's the case. Speaker 2 00:08:15 Okay. And then the last item just to I guess, beat a dead horse. We're still here. We're still available to the township. We still recognize there's a caveat in, in the contract as sign that allows us to be utilized at the direction of the police department. We do see that multiple agencies are being utilized for mutual aid. We see there's 40, 50 ish instances where the 10 minute mark is not met. JFK has repeatedly stated they'd be willing to work with us and we would just like to remind the township that we are here, we're licensed. And that's, that's it. And I will not say anymore because I understand I'm beating a dead horse. Speaker 1 00:09:05 Thank you for your comments, Evan. Any other new business? I would no other new business. I'm gonna go to the announcements. Next. MS advisory meeting. Date is April 29th at 6:00 PM As of right now, it's on Zoom. Any announcements? River Road or North Stone? Speaker 1 00:09:33 Okay. This, this is now the time for public comment. If any member of the public wishes to speak, please raise your hand. This be, can be done either through the Zoom app or by pressing star nine on your phone. I will unmute members of the public individually if they have their hand raised. When it is your turn to speak, you will get a prompt or request to unmute. Please click on the prompt or press star six on your phone to unmute yourself at that time, please state your name and address and know that you will have three minutes in which to make your comments. The EMS advisory committee or administration will respond if necessary after you have completed any comments or questions. This is now the time for public comment. Please raise your hand if you would like to make a comment there being no hands raised. Do I have a motion to adjourn the meeting? The move. Second. Second, Mr. Ky? All in favor? Aye. Aye. Any opposed? So moved. The meeting is concluded at 6:10 PM I'll see everyone on April 29th. Thank you, April. Thank you. Thank you.Minutes for Piscataway Ems meeting on January 29 2024
